Creating Homes and Enriching

Lives for Individuals with

Developmental Disabilities

Life Enrichment Options (LEO) was born in 1988 by mothers of young adults with developmental disabilities.

As their children were leaving the safety net of the Issaquah school district, there was very little to look forward to in the way of activities and services in the community. These women were determined that their children would live as “normal” a life as possible. They had a dream of employment, a social network with friends and independent living for their children.

Today, over 30 years later, LEO has made significant progress in developing housing, programs and activities for individuals with developmental disabilities. And we remain dedicated to making dreams a reality.

What We Do

In addition to building and maintaining homes for individuals with Developmental Disabilities, and supporting the Care Providers who operate our Adult Family Homes, LEO is also busy running gravity car challenge races, planning and participating in community education events, and promoting employment opportunities.

Join a committee. Get Involved.

We need volunteers to work on housing, fundraising, events, finance, and outreach. Please contact us and let us know how you want to help or which committee you would like to join.

Get in Touch!  Get Involved!

The Life Enrichment Options (LEO) Organization is comprised of many caring supporters and unpaid volunteers, including everyone on the LEO Board and on LEO Committees. They just want to help those with Developmental Disabilities live better lives.

Please join us! Volunteer your time by attending LEO events, helping run the event, or joining a LEO Committee. Without volunteers, LEO would not be able to carry out the goals we set in our mission statement (as seen below). Please contact us below. Thank you!

Please let us know if you have trouble understanding English or need help communicating. Ask for an interpreter or if translated material is available when you contact us. If you can, please tell us your language (or dialect).
