RECREATION

Recreational Programs and Events for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

LEO works to provide programs and events both directly and indirectly.

LEO collaborates with the Issaquah Community Center and Si View Community Center in North Bend to develop classes and outings.  LEO partially funds the bowling program so that an additional “van” of bowlers can participate.

LEO also partners with Waypoint Pediatrics to present the Experience Fitness Project. A day of fun and fitness at Issaquah High School’s stadium.

Challenge Race Series

LEO also partners with local Rotary Clubs to sponsor the Challenge Race Series held each summer in various cities within the State of Washington. These cars allow those with mental & physical disabilities, each teamed with a trained volunteer driver, to experience the thrill of riding in a gravity-propelled car. The Challenge Race Series program is free and helps LEO meet our mission goals, and also reaches a younger population of children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their younger parents.

LEO continues to actively pursue opportunities to expand our recreational programs.
